Between March 31st-April 3rd, Council for the Research in Agriculture (CREA) organized the short-term joint Staff Training Event within the Erasmus Plus project “IMPLEMENT4.0”: Integrated Management of Pesticides and Liable Exposure with Machinery Executing Needed Treatments”.
On the first day of the event, the staff from OMU (Turkey) had a visit to the research centre of CREA in Montelibretti Rome and learnt about the center’s research activities related to responses of crops to climate change, circular economy and use of digital technologies.
On the second day, the team visited the headquarters of CREA in Rome and meet with the Director General Stefano Vaccari and had a fruitful discussion about similarities in the research applied to digital agriculture by CREA and OMU.
Day 3 was dedicated to the AgriUmbria National Agriculture Exhibition, hosted by the CIA Umbria. During this event, the project partners from Italy and Turkey enjoyed the exhibition while meeting agricultural machinery manufacturers from Italy specialized in precisiontechnologies such as ISOBUS – a company that offers unique technological solutions in compatibility between tractors, accessory equipment, and agricultural software. The IMPLMENT4.0 project leaflet was handed out by the project team at the event to all interested and acquired a good deal of contacts for future collaboration opportunities.
