On January 21st 2021 an International Multiplier Event was held online bringing more than 50 teachers and students as well VET experts from the agriculture and food sector. The event was organized by the University of Brandenburg, Germany.
Massimo Canalicchio, the IMPLEMENT 4.0 partner, was one of the invited speakers of the event. He gave a presentation entitled “Evolving trends for professional competences in agriculture: multifunctionality and digital technologies”. The IMPLEMENT 4.0 project was featured in the presentation as an example of competences and skills based on digital education tools enabling farmers to manage decision support system data, digital technologies and robotics for safe use of plant protection devices.
During the event, evolution of the Common Agricultural Policy during the last 7 years, focusing on the next Programme 2021-2027 and the Green Deal was discussed among the participants. As a result, some innovative VET themes were introduced representing both multifunctional activities and digital technologies as two evolving scenarios in the agricultural sector.”
